BYUSA Elections
Welcome to BYUSA Elections!
Each year, campus unites its voice to vote in the new BYU Student Service Association President & Executive Vice President.
This year voting day will be held Thursday February 29th from 6am to 6pm.
Rules:
- Only current full time BYU students are eligible to vote.
- One vote per BYU student.
- Voting is conducted using a ranked voting system. This means that you will rank all candidate pairs in order of preference. Upon the close of the voting period, all rank 1 votes are compared. Should one pair have an outright majority (over 50% of the vote) they are declared the winner. In the event they are not, the pair with the lowest number of first place votes is removed. Ranks across all voters are adjusted upward. The percentages are recalculated to determine majority and the winner. This continues until a majority winner is identified.
Before voting, we encourage you to educate yourselves about the candidates to learn more about their ideas for BYUSA this coming year.

What is BYUSA Elections!
BYUSA Elections initiates a productive dialogue and generates positive interactions between future student leaders on campus and the students they are striving to serve. The process promotes integrity and student development to cultivate a community of inclusive Christ-centered leaders.
Students run in the BYUSA Election as a candidate pair, President and Executive Vice President. The student body vote will take place at the end of February. The time in between consists of developing a plan for the proposed year in office, developing a campaign, and participating in a series of experiences to connect candidates with the student body.
